Stardust By The Bushel
Brent Lewis
Brent Lewis is the author of the newly published Stardust by the Bushel: Hollywood on the Chesapeake Bay’s Eastern Shore. Stardust by the Bushel is about movies made on Delmarva going back to 1917, the places they were made, onscreen and behind the scenes personalities who have lived here like Robert Mitchum, Linda Hamilton, and Bea Arthur, as well as regional figures such as Harriet Tubman and Annie Oakley who have had films made about them. Brent is a native Eastern Shoreman with deep regional roots. A fan of history and pop culture, he has written for magazines, newspapers, and newsletters, and has previously published two nonfiction books about Kent Island and one indie novel, Bloody Point 1976. A documentarian and a playwright member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Brent’s blog, easternshorebrent.com, is a popular destination for readers interested in Chesapeake Bay storytelling, history, and memoir.
