The Path to Publication with Katie Runde & Ethan Joella

Ethan Joella and Katie Runde have never met in person, but they have a ton in common, starting with the fact that they’ve both had their debut novels (Ethan’s A Little Hope and Katie’s The Shore) published by Scribner (with the same editor) to great fanfare and even better reviews! 
Their novels are both set in small tight-knit communities (Ethan’s in Connecticut, Katie’s in a New Jersey beach town), have multiple points of view, and center around the devastating illness of a beloved member of that community. 
Join them for this casual conversation where they’ll read a short excerpt from their novels, talk about what inspired their books and what that process from idea to publication looked like. 
We're hoping this will be a true conversation--not only between the authors, but with the audience, so please bring your own questions.

Attendance is free, but we encourage you to purchase the authors' books. The authors will sign and personalize books purchased before or during the event.
